It just didn’t interest me the first time I heard someone talking about a Smoothie Bowl… well… an Acai Bowl. I thought, honestly, I don’t even like drinking smoothies that much … and now you’re talking about eating one of them? Please. #aintnobodygottimeforthat
Boy was I in for some enlightenment!
And ever since, I have been making smoothie bowls at home. I thought I’d better enlighten somebody else! I typically add all sorts of healthy, energy boosting, hormone balancing, anti-inflammatory property having good stuff into my bowls at home. #getwoke
It is essentially, a blend of frozen fruit, a splash of almond milk and whatever super foods you can get your hands on.
I have them for breakfast because they give me INSANE energy and sometimes for dessert, because they taste so darn good! All this, and good for you? Thank you Jesus.
My Acai Bowl Recipe
1 Cup Frozen Berries (or any fruit)
1/2 or 1 Frozen Banana
1 packet of Acai pulp frozen
1/3 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk (or any milk)
1 tsp Maca Powder (optional)
1 tsp Cinnamon (optional)
1/2 tsp Turmeric (optional)
Then there’s the toppings! That’s the fun part! I top mine will all kinds of good for me stuff!
Any fresh or frozen fruit that you’re into, Goji Berries, Flaked Unsweetened Coconut, Cacao Nibs, sometimes Hemp Seeds, but ALWAYS, Always A spoon of almond butter and ooooooh….
Just try it! And yes, I have a coconut bowl specifically for my smoothies. #youfancyhuh #sounnecessary
You’re gonna love it – and yes, please top it with a spoon of Almond butter at the end, I know it sounds weird, but trust me!
You’re welcome.
